Unique extraction method that produces clean cannabinoid and terpene-rich CBD oil.
When compared to ethanol and CO2 extraction, Catoctin Hemp’s unique hydrocarbon extraction process is the most efficient method for gently removing CBD, minor cannabinoids and terpenes with minimal processing. Most ethanol and CO2 extracted CBD products contain only trace amounts of naturally-occurring minor cannabinoids and little to no terpenes. Because our Full Spectrum CBD extract contains higher amounts of minor cannabinoids and terpenes. These compounds are present at quantifiable and effective levels in your finished CBD product at any desired potency or concentration.
Our crude Full Spectrum oil contains CBD, minor cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, proteins, and other therapeutic plant materials. Hydrocarbon extraction produces a pure, aromatic, and great tasting extract.
WHY FULL SPECTRUM?
Full Spectrum means that all of the naturally occurring cannabinoids, terpenes and other compounds produced by the original hemp plant are also present in the hemp extract. The resulting product has a full cannabinoid profile. Not only containing CBD, but also other therapeutic minor cannabinoids such as CBN, CBC, CBG, and trace amounts of THC (below the legal limit of 0.3%). Low concentrations of THC in Full Spectrum products are extremely beneficial and do not cause intoxicating effects commonly associated with cannabis consumption. All of these cannabinoids work synergistically to become more effective than if the same cannabinoids were consumed or utilized separately. This phenomena is called The Entourage Effect. It is what makes Full Spectrum CBD so powerful when compared to other types of CBD such as CBD Isolate. Which contains only CBD, and Broad Spectrum CBD.
Broad Spectrum CBD is defined as hemp extract that contains most of the beneficial chemical compounds found naturally within the plant but has trace amounts of THC removed through additional processing. It is very common to see Broad Spectrum CBD products on the market that resemble more of a CBD Isolate product than a Full Spectrum product. When THC is removed, minor cannabinoids and terpenes are destroyed in the process altering the integrity of the original hemp extract and the efficacy of the finished product.
